Celebrating women in technology

International Women“s Day 2021.

We're proud to introduce you to some of the inspiring women here at Genestack who have chosen a career in technology.

Maria

Maria comes from the Healthcare industry where she has a background as a Quality Assurance Engineer. Maria started at Genestack as a tester too, and she is now Implementation Consultant. Her job is to communicate with clients, helping solve their issues, doing demos, and gathering requirements for new projects and features. Maria works closely with the software development team at Genestack, coordinating tasks and consulting during projects.

“I love to work on something interesting, as well as socially significant. By working on a software product that helps scientists in their research, I participate in delivering a product for the innovative and fast-growing sphere, and I feel confident that my work is useful.”

Alla

Alla has a background of working in the Gas and Oil, Insurance, and Healthcare industries as a Business and System Analyst, and she started at Genestack as a system analyst. Recently Alla became a Product Owner. Her job is to analyze the current software product, come up with improvements and new features, and prioritize it all together with client projects. Alla works closely with the software development team, consultants, and clients, and she coordinates tasks and helps during development.

Ekaterina

Ekaterina started her career as a software developer and consultant, before changing direction to project management for IT-related projects in the sectors of public services and biotechnology. At Genestack she is a Project Manager as well, and manages projects of product customization for particular customers. Ekaterina’s work is to communicate with the customer and product team, organize requirements gathering, deliver product updates to the customer and to do common project management tasks like managing risks, tracking budget usage and making reports.

Lena

Lena received an engineering degree at the Ural Radio Engineering Institute, and worked as a System Analyst in the field of logistics and metallurgy for 4 years, and with electronic document management products for 6 years - she likes to believe that she indirectly saved forests from being cut down. After that, she joined Genestack, where the exciting field of bioinformatics opened up to her. Lena is a System Analyst at Genestack, she gathers requirements from different sources to help the development team to design a solution that will be sufficient for the product and that solves user issues.
